» Don't go it alone All carriers have a range of pricing associated with each service they offer. There is a base cost associated with providing each telcom service, and a minimum price point that will produce a minimum profit margin to the carrier. However, carriers typically establish a variety of price points producing varying profit margins above the minimum established for each service. Generally these price points could be described as follows, with standard pricing being the most expensive: · Standard Pricing · Promotional Pricing · Optional Pricing o Level 1 o Level 2 o Level 3 · Director Level Pricing o Level 1 o Level 2 · VP Approved Pricing · Special Pricing (Approved by Financial Analyst) Most customers believe the relative size of their company and higher usage levels will command a lower price point. The carrier sales person will generally negotiate with the customer and offer what is described as the lowest available price. However, the carriers want to sell their services as close to standard pricing as possible, and they encourage their direct sales people to sell at the higher standard rate whenever they can. Additionally, the sales force, including those at the Director or VP levels are compensated on the dollar volume of new sales and their monthly billing base. Obviously, there is little incentive to lower the price any further than is absolutely necessary. This tendency is most predominate when the customer is unaware of the market forces working on the telcom industry and exactly what price points are actually available to them. Think about it, who has the advantage - the carrier who negotiates telcom contracts daily, or you the customer who negotiates a telcom contract every two or three years? At the ComHelpDesk, we don’t work for the carrier, we work for our clients. We know how to get the lowest price, and our objective is to keep our clients happy over the long term. Moreover, we monitor our client’s telcom agreements going forward, keeping them informed as to service options and pricing trends, so agreements can be renegotiated as appropriate. Contact ComHelpDesk.com to negotiate your next telcom agreement. It will be a pleasant experience and we will save you time and money. (800) 872-9333
